Furthermore, Pafah2 KO mice with hypoxic PH exhibited advanced right heart failure, such as increased right ventricular (RV) hypertrophy (Fig. 2f) and higher mRNA levels of Nppa, a heart failure marker, in the RV (Fig. 2g), resulting in a high mortality rate of nearly 80% in 100 days after hypoxic exposure (Fig. 2h).
