In this study, to better understand the precise mechanism regulating AMPK and its function in metabolic reprogramming under metabolic stress, we conducted a proteomics screening of AMPK-interacting proteins in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells and identified a rate-limiting enzyme in glycolysis named the platelet isoform of phosphofructokinase 1 (PFKP). This evidence concerns the gene PRKAA1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
