The results revealed that serum miR-21, HE4, and CA125 expression levels were significantly increased in the BL and OC groups when compared with the control group, and the serum levels of miR-21, HE4, and CA125 in the OC group were significantly higher than in the BL group, suggesting a strong association of aberrant miR-21, HE4, and CA125 expression with ovarian cancer attributed to the potential carcinogenic properties of these tumor markers. Here, WFDC2 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
