In the case of glioblastoma (GBM), it has been demonstrated that a single-dose administration of EGFRvIII-redirected CAR-Ts, a GBM-specific tumor antigen, can contribute to the mediation of antigen loss and adaptive resistance in recurrent GBM patients with the tumor retaining high levels of wild-type EGFR expression (36). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and glioblastoma.
