The chicken CMPK2 gene was located in chromosome 3 of the chicken genome, adjacent to but in the opposite direction of viperin, suggesting that they can be co-transcribed in response to IFN stimulation after virus infection, similar to human CMPK2. TMK belongs to the NMP kinase superfamily, and is widely present in bacteria, viruses, and mammals. The gene discussed is IFNA1; the disease is viral infectious disease.
