Increased expression of TUBB3 in cancer cells has emerged as a consistent biomarker of both (1) poor prognosis and (2) eventual taxane (paclitaxel and docetaxel) resistance in a wide variety of solid cancers, including breast cancer, non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and prostate cancer [20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27].
