The analysis showed that the SIRT1 rs3818292 AA genotype was less frequent in the periodontitis group than in the control group (80.6% vs. 89.2%, p = 0.002), while the AG genotype was more frequent in the periodontitis group than in the control group (18.4% vs. 10.4%, p = 0.004). This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and periodontitis.
