The analysis revealed that the SIRT1 rs3818292 AA genotype was less frequent in the male periodontitis group than in the control group (77.6% vs. 88.8%, p = 0.010), while the AG genotype was more frequent in the periodontitis group than in the control group (22.4% vs. 10.8%, p = 0.008). This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and periodontitis.
