Standard HF medications, such as beta blockers, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE-I), angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB), aldosterone antagonists, angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitors (ARNI), and sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2 inhibitors) all improved survival [9,10,11,12,13,14,15] rates, prevented recurrent hospitalizations due to worsening HF, and improved the clinical status, functional capacity, and quality of life [6]. The gene discussed is ACE; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
