Even with the undetectable healthy controls as an exception, serum CXCL1 levels were significantly higher in SSc patients (mean 25.70 ng/mL; 95% confidence interval (CI) 18.35–33.05 ng/mL) than in the healthy controls (15.61 ng/mL; 95% CI 9.73–21.51 ng/mL; Figure 1). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and systemic sclerosis.
