The most significant predictors associated with obesity between the two cancer groups were age ≥ 76 (p = 0.004); HIST1H3I, a hypomethylated oncogene (p = 0.002); NFATC4, a hypermethylated oncogene (p = 0.027); SRGAP2C, a hypermethylated tumor suppression gene (p = 0.025); and ZBTB46, a hypomethylated TSG interacting with age (p = 0.024), which was the only gene to have significant interaction with age in our prediction model. This evidence concerns the gene NFATC4 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
