In the pharmacotherapy of epilepsy occurring in the CLN2 and CLN3 subtypes, lamotrigine and valproic acid are the recommended drugs [3,142,143], whereas drugs such as phenytoin, gabapentin, vigabatrin, or carbamazepine may cause an increase in myoclonic seizures in these patients [3,142,143].
