TNFRSF1A and chronic kidney disease: In patients with type 2 diabetes, plasma levels of Tumor Necrosis Factor receptors (TNFR)-1 and TNFR-2 receptors are associated with an increased risk of CKD progression and ESKD in survival models adjusted for baseline eGFR and the urine albumin excretion rate, suggesting that this association may reveal a true (rather than merely statistical) pattern of disease.
