We next analyzed the expression of genes related to AML differentiation (CD33) and to cell cycle regulation, more specifically to G0–G1 transition phase regulators (CDK4 and CDK6), in AML patient samples discriminated by their level of expression of ORAI1 (ORAI1low and ORAI1high, n = 219 and n = 220, respectively) (Figure 3a) or ABCB1 (ABCB1low and ABCB1high, n = 220 and n = 219, respectively) (Figure 3e) genes. Here, CDK4 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
