In Pessoa et al. [65], a metalloproteomics study was performed, allowing the identification of the proteins IGHG1 (both BD and SCZ), IGKV2D-28 (only in BD), and Ig lambda chain V-IV region Hil and ApoH (only in SCZ) as altered in BD and SCZ comparing to a healthy group and the identification of different concentrations of Li, Mg, Mn, and Zn in BD patients and high levels of Cu for SCZ patients, indicating an imbalance in the homeostasis of important micronutrients. Here, IGHG1 is linked to Behcet disease.
