CCL4 and Hepatic fibrosis: The induction of liver fibrosis by CCL4 was proven by histopathological examinations of liver tissues, which showed extremely disorganized hepatic architecture and marked thickening of the Glisson’s capsule due to fibrosis followed by degenerated hepatocytes with edema, as well as karyorrhexis nucleus and coagulative necrosis of major hepatocytes, and more eosinophilic cytoplasm with or without chromatin condensation and apoptosis.
