Possibly, typical behavioural of children with CLN3 disease may come from different causes: first, behaviour that can be seen as a direct consequence of the deterioration of certain brain functions, such as uninhibited behaviour, and second, behaviour that is a consequence of certain emotions, for example anxiety, that could lead to behaviour to look for control when one is slowly losing control, such as ‘focussing on the familiar’ and ‘demanding behaviour’. Here, CLN3 is linked to Anxiety.
