Elevated RYR2 (corrected p-value = 6.77 × 10−7 in AD-EMCI, corrected p-value = 1.47 × 10−5 in AD-HC and corrected p-value = 9.76 × 10−3 in EMCI-HC) and RYR3 (corrected p-value = 6.2 × 10−6 in AD-EMCI, corrected p-value = 2.22 × 10−7 in AD-HC and corrected p-value = 4.4 × 10−6 in EMCI-HC) expression levels enhanced the Ca2+ release and caused the Ca2+ signal dysregulation in AD [50,51,52]. Here, RYR3 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
