Our results concerning the down-regulation of FCN1 during the response to anti-TNFα therapy are consistent with previous studies assessing the activity of the lectin pathway in responders with IBD [61], while -omics profiling of biopsies derived from patients with Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) showed a significant up-regulation of FCN1 [62,63]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and inflammatory bowel disease.
