We analyzed the presence of 14 nt insert in the 3′UTR region of HLA-G and found a significantly higher proportion of glioma patients carrying the 14 nt insert in both homozygous and heterozygous states (14 ins/ins and 14 del/ins) compared to the control group of healthy subjects (p = 0.03). This evidence concerns the gene HLA-G and glioma.
