Male sex, epiglottic localization of the tumor, metastases in the neck lymph nodes, high primary tumor extension (T3, T4), high histological grading (G3) and high expression of the Cyclin D1 protein (above the median) were significantly associated with shorter survival time of patients with larynx cancer in univariate analysis. This evidence concerns the gene CCND1 and laryngeal neoplasm.
