These results are contradicting those reported by Lesueur et al. [37] and Wiśniewski et al. [19] who stated that the AA genotype increased the risk of psoriasis over fivefold and was significantly associated with higher PASI score in males and explained it by the double effect of the (A) allele in the AA genotype, that may potentially elevate the expression of corneodesmosin in the skin and may result in increased severity of psoriasis.
