To elucidate the correlation between methionine metabolism and chemotherapeutic resistance in the hypoxic tumor microenvironment, this work proposed a novel therapeutic strategy based on combination of LAT1 inhibitor and oxaliplatin, which is expected to solve the resistance of RCC cells to platinum drugs, consequently providing an important insight into the treatment of RCC. The gene discussed is SLC7A5; the disease is renal cell carcinoma.
