In hepatocellular carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, colorectal cancer, and glioblastoma increased levels of circulating IL-6 are associated with poor response to sunitinib and bevacizumab, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting the VEGF/VEGFR pathway and an anti-VEGF antibody, respectively [89,91,92] (Figure 3). Here, VEGFA is linked to colorectal cancer.
