CD86 and breast cancer: GNP-LLO91–99 nanovaccines appear to act as adjuvants for BC patients, as they promoted (i) the antigen presentation capacities of MoDCs of patients with BC (e.g., increasing the levels of MHC-I and MHC-II molecules as well as co-stimulatory CD86 molecules) and (ii) a Th1 cytokine pattern by releasing high levels of IL-12p70 and TNF-α with anti-neoplastic abilities.
