These include collagen 11A1, cathepsin A, the thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP), an integrin Lvβ6 expressed by myoepithelial cells, and markers of proliferation (p53, Ki-67, and cyclin D), whose prognostic value in DCIS has been demonstrated by a number of single analyses carried out in various cohorts [4,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13].
