Pathogenic variants in the DICER1 gene cause the DICER1 syndrome, including benign or malignant tumors of the thyroid, kidney, ovary, brain, and lung [47], but the variant chr14:95570153T/C discovered in our study is not located in a conserved domain; therefore, it may not affect the function of protein. The gene discussed is DICER1; the disease is thyroid cancer.
