The fusion of KANSL1 and ARL17B has been seen in leukemia [77] and in normal karyotype chronic myelogenous leukemia by Wen et al. (2012), where it is referred to as KIAA1267-ARL17 but has not previously been observed in prostate cancer [78]. Here, KANSL1 is linked to chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
