Increased gene expression in the following taste receptor genes had negative survival associations (i.e. higher expression correlating with worse survival) in at least one tumor histology: TAS1R3, TAS2R14, TAS2R19, TAS2R20, TAS2R4, and TAS2R5. Positive survival associations (i.e. higher expression correlating with improved survival) were identified for TAS1R1, TAS2R14, and TAS2R4 in at least one malignancy. Here, TAS2R20 is linked to neoplasm.
