A multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled study EQUATOR showed that 24 weeks of treatment with the PCSK9 inhibitor RG7652 did not significantly alter circulating hsCRP levels and the proinflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL6 in patients at high risk or with established coronary heart disease [28], which is in line with our results. The gene discussed is PCSK9; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
