For the entire cohort of HF patients, the baseline model (adjusted for age, sex, BMI, CHD, LVEF, NYHA I to II vs. III to IV, eGFR, therapy with ACEI and/or ARB, beta‐blocker, MRA, SBP, heart rate, serum sodium, concomitant infection, diabetes mellitus, hypertension) yielded a C‐index for all‐cause mortality of 0.71, which rose to 0.73 when NT‐proBNP was added.
