Farnaz et al. used nanocarriers to introduce small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) into hypoxic tumor cells to simultaneously silence HIF-1α and CD73 molecules and found that the colony formation ability of tumor cells, compared with targeting HIF-1α or CD73 alone, was significantly inhibited and the expressions of VEGF, TGF-β, and fibroblast growth factor (FGF) were also significantly reduced. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and neoplasm.
