CGRP and the molecular subunits of the canonical CGRP receptor, the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CLR) and receptor activity-modifying protein 1 (RAMP1), are all expressed within the TG where they may contribute to migraine pathogenesis (Eftekhari et al., 2010; Eftekhari et al., 2013; Eftekhari et al., 2015; Hay et al., 2018; Rees et al., 2021b). This evidence concerns the gene RAMP1 and migraine disorder.
