While traditional ultrasonography at the latter stage of pregnancy is usually used to diagnose skeletal dysplasia, target sequencing of recurrent pathogenic variants in FGFR3, COL1A2, etc. in the early gestational stage meets the need of precise diagnosis of skeletal dysplasia (Ching-Yuan Wang et al., 2021).
