The use of PARPi has become a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of BRCA deficient breast and ovarian cancer, and up to five different PARP inhibitors with different PARP-trapping efficiencies, have been approved for the treatment of specific breast or ovarian cancer subtypes, as single agents or in combination therapies with DNA damaging agents (7–10).
