Immunofluorescence results showed that CD11b+ and IBA1+ innate immune cells exhibited sustained enrichment during the late infection phase (Fig 7A, 7B and 7E), CD3+ adaptive immune cells (T cells) were significantly aggregated at 7 and 14 dpi but returned to basal levels (Fig 7C–7E), and CD103+ antigen-presenting cells (dendritic cells) were notably enriched only at 14 dpi (Fig 7D and 7E).
