A GWAS for cryptorchidism in the Siberian Husky identified six putative genomic candidate regions on CFA6, 9, 24, 27 and X, while candidate genes previously investigated in other species including ESR1, NR5A1, GNRHR, HOXA10, HOXA11, FGFR1, SOS1, WT-1, INSL3, AMH, CALCA, PROKR2, LGR8, COL2A1, KAL1, and AR were not significantly associated [13]. This evidence concerns the gene INSL3 and cryptorchidism.
