We found that circRNA CCDC66 has been reported to be associated with mechanisms of chemoresistance generation not only in lung adenocarcinoma cells but also in gastrointestinal tumors; for example, DHX9 phosphorylation induced by oxaliplatin chemotherapy in colorectal cancer promotes the expression of oncogenic circRNA CCDC66 to affect chemoresistance (183), and circRNA CCDC66 in gastric cancer through the miR-618/BCL2 axis regulates cisplatin resistance in gastric cancer (150). The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is gastric cancer.
