Considering the importance of lipid profile and inflammatory factors C- reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) and increasing function of PLA2 in the process of inflammation and the use of chemical drugs to reduce these factors, we decided to examine the effect of the extracts of O. persica and O. basilicum on reducing the desired factors and demonstrate whether relying on these plants can reduce inflammation and the risk of developing atherosclerosis. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is atherosclerosis.
