Primarily, miR-155-3p acts as an oncogene via the direct inhibition of tumour suppressors such as TP53INP1 (adenocarcinoma), FBXW7 (hepatocellular carcinoma), PCDH7/CREB3/SIX1 (glioma), WDR82 (colorectal cancer) and CADM1 (breast cancer) (figure 6) [92,93,100–102,104,110].
