(1) GDF15 levels (pg/ml) were higher in AIH (1994.3 ± 1258.0) and HC (1568.0 ± 822.3) than in HB (953.2 ± 871.4), PBC (643.9 ± 247.0), and controls (475.3 ± 145.3) (p < 0.0001), as well as in cirrhosis patients (n = 31) than in non-cirrhosis patients (n = 66) (1926.6 ± 1026.0 vs. 1249.1 ± 1124.1, p < 0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene GDF15 and primary biliary cholangitis.
