An increasing number of studies have revealed that Ano1 expression is upregulated in many diseases, including cancers, hypertension, cystic fibrosis, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, chronic rhinosinusitis, asthma, diarrhea, gastroparesis, and polycystic kidney disease7,27,34–40.
