In this showcase, the top prioritised target genes are essential for inflammation, and more interestingly, have been previously reported to be associated with inflammatory disorders, such as IL23R [ranked 1st; well-known as an inflammatory bowel disease gene (36)], ERAP2 [2nd; associated with ankylosing spondylitis (37)] and MST1 [3rd; associated with primary sclerosing cholangitis (38)]. This evidence concerns the gene IL23R and inflammatory bowel disease.
