To address this gap in knowledge, we examined associations of race and breast tumor clinicopathological characteristics with the expression of key genes in the mTOR pathway, including AKT1, MTOR, RPS6KB2 (encodes S6K2), EIF4EBP1 (encodes eIF-4E), and TSC1, in the mTOR pathway in Black and White women with newly diagnosed breast cancer. Here, RPS6KB2 is linked to breast carcinoma.
