Cell-death related proteins showed a significantly increased abundance after ALS for the proteins phosphoglyceratkinase (PGK1), actin alpha cardiac muscle 1 (ACTC1), fructose-bisphosphat aldolase (ALDOB), collagen type II (COL2A1), regucalcin (RGN) and heparansulfate proteoglycan 2 (HSPG2), whereas apolipoprotein H (APOH) revealed a reduced abundance (Fig. 3d). This evidence concerns the gene ACTC1 and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
