In a study of acute lung injury (ALI), ferroptosis contributed to intestinal ischemia/reperfusion-induced ALI in vivo, and inhibitor of apoptosis-stimulating protein of p53 (iASPP) was found to inhibit ferroptosis and alleviate intestinal ischemia/reperfusion-induced ALI through the Nrf2/HIF-1/TF signaling pathway [131]. Here, TF is linked to acute respiratory distress syndrome.
