We hypothesized that a novel heat killed Mycobacterium w (Mw), also known as Mycobacterium indicus pranii, an approved immunomodulator in India (19), which has been used in the treatment of severe COVID-19 (20), might upregulate NKG2C+ANK cells and offer protection against SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2) infections in the process. Here, KLRC2 is linked to COVID-19.
