Studies have shown that the abnormally high expression of ERGIC3 is associated with the proliferation and growth of HCC cells and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) (Zhang et al., 2013). Further, GEPIA (http://gepia.cancer-pku.cn/detail.php) database (—log2FC ∣cutoff = 1, p-value cutoff = 0:01) and UALCAN (http://ualcan.path.uab.edu/analysis.html) online analytical tools were selected to identify the difference of ERGIC3 expression, survival prognosis and its relationship with clinical features between hepatocellular carcinoma patients and normal controls. Here, ERGIC3 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
