Currently, several mechanisms of ERGIC3 in cancer have been reported as follows: (1) Regulating the pathophysiological function of cancer cells through the microRNA pathway. For example, miR-490-3p modulates cell growth and epithelial to mesenchymal transition of hepatocellular carcinoma cells by targeting ERGIC3 (Zhang et al., 2013). Here, ERGIC3 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
