Our findings suggest that GPR56 may play a role in regulating the dynamics of TG2 levels and activity in tumor cells during the mesenchymal transition. Their reciprocal expression may be the dominant determinant of the ECM architecture on the one hand, and intracellularly, NF-kB mediated activation of pro-mesenchymal signaling cascades on the other.
