However, the phenotypes of these colonic CAFs seem to be distinct from those of pancreatic cancers, as it is the CAF1s, which are located more distantly to epithelial cells, that have more myofibroblastic features and some iCAF gene expression such as Il6 and Cxcl1, while CAF2s also express iCAF genes such as Il11, Cxcl12 and other chemokines (40).
