More recently, with the aim of identifying circulating markers of TAK-1 pathway activation that could potentially serve as resistance biomarkers for the nanoliposomal irinotecan (nal-IRI) in patients with gemcitabine-resistant advanced pancreatic cancer, we identified CXCL8, the gene coding for IL-8, as the most significant gene regulated by TAK1 expression among those coding for secreted proteins. Here, MAP3K7 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
